Those who’ve had heart surgery often talk of feeling younger and more energetic after the surgery. Their blood flows better, more oxygen to their system, they feel brand new. Spiritually speaking, we get a new heart when we come to the Lord. We’re new creatures in Christ. The old man is dead.
