Well, you guys figured it out. It’s my birthday today.
I am officially 56 years old! BTW, that officially means that I am now a senior!
I was told that seniors get discounts at the movies, so I put this to the test the other night when my wife and I went out to take in a film. I said to the teenager selling tickets, “One regular admission and one senior, please!” And without hesitation, he sold me the tickets, just as I requested.
I was kind of hoping he would at least “card” me, but he believed me. Sigh.
Needless to say, it’s a hard day because it’s my first birthday without Christopher. Every year, he would make me the most amazing, custom birthday cards. Sometimes they were flash graphics I could view on my computer. Other times, they were cards that were like little models that you would set on a shelf.
I really miss those, but of course I just miss him. I have one of Christopher’s cards in a photo above from a few years ago.
Thanks for all your kind words and prayers for us. God is blessing us and we are thankful.
Talk to you soon,
Greg (the old geezer)
