When Pastor Greg gave an invitation to come forward at the 2011 SoCal Harvest, Linda and Crystal their seats and joined thousands of others on the field at Angel Stadium to make commitments to Christ. Crystal rededicated her life, determined to follow hard after Jesus.

The 29-year-old friends had known each other since high school and kept in touch through social networking. Linda invited Crystal to join her on Friday night, but Crystal wasn’t able to and sent Linda a Facebook message sending her regrets. Linda reminded her of the Saturday youth event and offered to pick up Crystal from home, to which Crystal agreed.

“This is my first time and I’m so glad I came,” said Crystal. “I’ve been feeling so alone lately and overwhelmed by family issues, but tonight reminded me that I’m not alone.”

Linda reassured her friend and rejoiced at the opportunity that the Lord had given her to support her in this recommitment. Linda also brought out her boyfriend, his daughter, and a niece and she felt the message was so relevant to all of them.

“Pastor Greg has a way of taking topics that may be difficult to understand and he breaks them down so practically,” said Linda. “The message tonight blessed me and I know it touched the hearts of every young person here tonight, including those with me.”
