The Jews were crying out to God for a deliverer; and the answer to their prayer would come in a basket, carrying a baby, floating down the Nile. The Pharaoh thought the boys were the threat when the women were the ones who saved Israel and preserved and protected the boys. A baby’s tears were God’s first weapon in His war against Egypt.
