In this webcast, Pastor Greg Laurie shares a message from Revelation 2 titled “The 7 Love Letters of Jesus to His Church” in our Sunday Morning series at Harvest Christian Fellowship.
Sermon Notes
The Bible tells us simply that God is love, and did you know that God wants a relationship with you? Let’s explore what the Bible means when it says “God is love” “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.” You need to enter into a relationship with Christ. Every Christian needs to ask God to fill them with the Holy Spirit.
Application
Did you know that Laodicea was a church that was neither cold nor hot, merely lukewarm? Luke warmness makes Jesus sick. The word cold means frozen or icy cold. The word hot means to be boiling hot. Lukewarm people are usually the last to know.
- Jesus has given to us an unprecedented open door.
- Some churches make the Lord weep
- Some churches make Him angry
- The Laodicean church makes him sick

Long before America became a nation, a young evangelist named George Whitefield stood in open fields and town squares proclaiming a bold message: You must be born again. His preaching helped spark the First Great Awakening and shaped the spiritual foundation of a generation.
The powerful new film A Great Awakening brings this remarkable true story to life with compelling performances, rich historical detail, and a timely reminder of what God can do when people respond to the gospel.
