‘God Is So Good’
On July 1 and 2, the Honda Center was filled to max capacity for both nights of this year’s incredible Harvest Crusade. Amazingly, we saw over 230,000 attendees in person and online, and—more importantly—6,794 people responded to Pastor Greg’s gospel invitation.
The event began with an immersive worship experience led by Christian artists, Chris Tomlin, Phil Wickham, Michael W. Smith, TAYA, and Passion.
Later into the night, guests heard an inspiring and encouraging gospel message from Pastor Greg Laurie. Night one’s message was titled, “Jesus & You,” while night two’s was “Good News in a Bad World.”
The 2023 Harvest Crusade leaned into the theme “Jesus Changes Everything,” and He truly did for thousands of people.
One in-person attendee told us,
My husband and I had the best time. It was his first time going to Harvest Crusades (I’ve been before in the past), and I watched him getting emotional during worship. We were both truly moved tonight. I’m so happy we got to experience this together for the first time as newlyweds. We left . . . with full hearts and peace. God is so good, I feel so blessed! Thank you Pastor Greg & team for an unforgettable night!
“See you at Pirates Cove!” she added, referring to Harvest’s July 8 baptism event.
And the online experience was not to be missed. One attendee commented on our livestream,
I’m so excited this Harvest Crusade is online for us who can’t be there in person. I wish I was there, but thank you . . . for making this epic event accessible online 4 everyone!
In Pastor Greg’s words, “This was our most effective evangelistic event that we perhaps have ever had.”
Catch replays of night one and night two!
By the Numbers
More than 600 media outlets across the nation partnered with Harvest to broadcast and livestream the event. In addition, 272 Southern California churches participated in this year’s event, providing mobilization and volunteers.
Nearly 7,000 people dedicated their lives to Christ over the two-day worship experience, including 3,735 making their profession of faith in person and 3,059 online.
To God be the glory!
What Happened at the ‘Jesus Revolution’ Baptism
On July 8, we held baptisms at Pirate’s Cove in Corona Del Mar, the famous site that saw so many throughout the 1960s/1970s Jesus Movement and was depicted in the popular Jesus Revolution film.
The response was overwhelming with 4,500 people joining us—coming from all over the nation and the world! Read more of this story here.
Thank you for your continued faithfulness in your support of Harvest Ministries! This work is only made possible by the generous support of our donors. In thanks for your gift . . .
The Jesus Movement began during a chaotic moment in American history, when thousands of young people searching for truth encountered the life-changing message of the gospel. In Jesus Revolution, Greg Laurie shares the compelling story behind this spiritual awakening—including his own transformation as a teenager coming to faith in Christ.
This book takes readers behind the scenes of a movement that changed lives through the power of God’s Word and the hope of Jesus. It’s a timely reminder that God still works through ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things.
When you give to Harvest Ministries this month, we’ll send you Jesus Revolution as our thank-you. And if your gift is $50 or more, we’ll also send you the Jesus Revolution movie on DVD—an inspiring way to enjoy and share this powerful story of revival.
