So, what should we as Christians do now? pic.twitter.com/71DFhtQVw7— Greg Laurie (@greglaurie) November 6, 2024
What are we to do now that the election is over?
As Christians, we go back to what we should have always been—and always should be—doing. And that’s living out our faith, being salt and light in the culture.
Act as Salt and Light
To be light means we let people know we’re believers in Jesus Christ. And we show our good works, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 5:16 KJV).
In first century, salt stopped the rotting process. In the same way, Christians in culture speak out against what is wrong and speak up for what is right. We pray for people, we pray for our nation and its spiritual awakening.
Share the Gospel
And don’t forget that the Great Commission is still in the Bible.
It says, “‘make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age'” (Matthew 28:19–20 NLT). So let’s get on with this. It’s what we’re commanded to do.
Pray for President Trump
Scripture also tells us to pray for those in authority (see 1 Timothy 2:1–4). Let’s do that. Pray that President Trump will be surrounded by godly and competent people who will give him good counsel in the days ahead.
God bless President Trump and God bless the United States of America!
