Inviting Someone to the Harvest Crusade: Where to Begin

by Greg Laurie on Jun 1, 2025

One of the hardest things about having a conversation with someone about Jesus Christ is getting started. But I think a great place to begin is with your personal story.

People can try to argue your facts and theological stance, but not your personal experience. They can’t argue against what God has done for you.

We all have a testimony, a story of how we came to believe in Jesus. It’s so simple. There’s a man in the Bible who was healed by Jesus and he said, “I was blind, and now I can see” (John 9:25 NLT). That’s your testimony. It’s as simple as that.

What did you used to be like? What happened? What are you like now? How can it happen for someone else? Start there and then you start breaking down the essential message of the gospel.

When you get that conversation started, you can extend an invitation to the crusade.

Testimonies Are Made at Harvest Crusades

I want you to think of someone right now—someone who seems beyond the reach of God. Someone you can’t even imagine as a follower of Jesus. Pray for that person by name, pray specifically for their salvation. And also invite them to the Harvest Crusade on July 19.

Most people who make a profession of faith at these events were invited by a friend, like Brandon:

The way someone is going to get into that stadium is if you bring them. So invite someone before July 19!

And if you can’t join me in person, you can still watch online with someone!
