Hey everyone!
I hope you all had a blessed Thanksgiving.
We had a great day on Skid Row in L.A. at the Fred Jordan Mission.
As I mentioned earlier, Fred was my uncle and started this outreach some 60 years ago to reach out to those who are in great need. His philosophy was to feed and clothe them, but also to always make sure they each heard the gospel. Uncle Fred went to heaven some 20 years ago, but his wife Willie, his sons Tom and Peter, and other members of his family have carried this vital work on to a new generation.
So taking a cue from my uncle, I spoke for around 15 minutes and told everyone how they could know God in a personal way though Jesus Christ. I also extended an invitation for them to come to Christ, and many indicated they had done so after I led them in a prayer of commitment.
Fred Jordan Missions fed more than 2,500 people today. I encourage you to remember them in your prayers and with your support.
