The Stand You Make Tomorrow Is Determined by the Decision You Make Today

"Then King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished; and he rose in haste and spoke, saying to his counselors, ‘Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire?’ They answered and said to the king, ‘True, O king.’

‘Look!’ he answered, ‘I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God’" (Daniel 3:24–25 NKJV).

You might wonder if you could make the stand that Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego made. There may never come a test of this caliber in your life, but tests will come. He won’t give us more than we can handle, but God will allow persecution in our lives.

The stand you make tomorrow is determined by the decision you make today.

The key to their courage and calmness in the fire was their Companion! Are you in a fiery trial right now? Or the hot waters of temptation? Know this: you are not alone in life! Jesus is there with you, each step of the way.

In Isaiah 43:2, God says, "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you" (NKJV).

Jesus said, "Lo, I am with you, even until the end of the world" (Matthew 28:20 KJV) and in Hebrews 13:5–6 (NKJV) we find this promise: "I will never [no never, no never] leave you nor forsake you. So that we may boldly say: ‘The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear. What can man do unto me?’"
