The Invisible Hand of God

For with God nothing will be impossible.

There are times in our lives when we aren’t recognized for the good things we do. Yet the Bible gives us this promise: “Your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly” (Matthew 6:4 NKJV).

You will be rewarded for every act of kindness, for every word of testimony you have given for the Lord. As Hebrews 6:10 tells us, “For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister” (NKJV).

God is always present and at work in our lives as Christians—whether we feel Him or not.

We see this in the book of Esther, where the hand of God is evident on every page. He was at work in the lives of Esther, Mordecai, and the Jewish people. He worked through such ordinary human events as insomnia, the reading of a book, and a man’s anger. And He worked through the timing of those events as well.

In whatever you may be facing right now, God is at work.

Maybe you’re thinking, “I don’t see Him.”

He’s at work.

“I don’t feel him.”

He’s at work. He’s working behind the scenes. And He promises “that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28 NKJV).

The angel Gabriel said to Mary, who would become the mother of Jesus, “For with God nothing will be impossible” (Luke 1:37 NKJV).

God can take impossible situations and turn them around for His glory. Are you facing an impossible situation today? Is the deck stacked against you? Have you been given no hope?

God can change that.
