I was standing on the field as people where walking down, listening the the lyrics of the song Reckless Love:Â “Oh, it chases me down, fights ’til I’m found . . . ” and it dawned on me, do I pursue my children the way God pursues me? Do I pray for them enough? Do I show them that God is first in my life? Do I live a Christian life they’d want to follow?
I continued to ponder those thoughts as I saw this family in front me. Veronica (green hat) brought her children Ali and Manny to the SoCal Harvest with her Aunt Yvonne (left). During the altar call Manny decided to stand up and wanted to go forward and then Ali. It brought the mother and aunt to tears, so they all walked down together.
As a parent I loved seeing these two young people make a decision for Christ. I encourage all the parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and family members to pray for and encourage the spiritual growth of the children in their lives.
