It starts with recognizing that you’re a sinner.
We’re all sinners—but we have a Savior.
We’re all sinners. To sin means to break a commandment, or to cross a line; and this sin separates us from God. But the Bible delivers good news: “For God so loved the world, he gave his only begotten son, and whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). Jesus died to save us from sin, “While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).
But what does it mean to believe in Him?
It means to put your faith in Him, your trust in Him.
This is not about religion. This is about a relationship with Christ Himself, who says in John 14:6, “‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.’”
He also says, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in. . .” (Revelation 3:20). Are you ready to open the door? If so, pray the following prayer.
Pray this prayer
“Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins. Right now, I turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and life. I confess You as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me. Amen.”
