It Takes an Army

by Teri Ann Moyer on Aug 18, 2017

From the parking lot to the stadium, from the moment the gates open until the last car exits the parking lot at the end of the night, it takes an army of faithful, God-loving servants for the 2017 SoCal Harvest Crusade to function.

There are many moving parts to this event, but one God and one church, “For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ” (1 Corinthians 12:12). In a world divided, isn’t that comforting? From security to prayer, ushering to check-in; from the musicians to Pastor Greg Laurie’s message, we all seek God’s glory tonight as the gates to this year’s SoCal Harvest open, people make their way to the seats and the Lord prepares the hearts of those, broken, lost, and blind to hear the truth of a God who loves them so much that He brought them here tonight to hear a message of truth, a message of love, the message of salvation in Jesus.

So we pray, we serve, we love, and we live to shine the light of Christ. Stand together with us, church, in one accord, linking shields and pray for the Lord to bring a great Harvest tonight.
