Saturday night wrap-up

by Greg Laurie on Oct 5, 2008

Hey everybody!

We just finished up a great night at the Wachovia Center. Here is a wrap-up of the evening from our Crusade Connection blog.

God truly moved the people Saturday night at the Greater Philadelphia Harvest.

The crowd started gathering in the parking lot as early at 1 p.m. We had to close the doors barely 15 minutes into the event, with more than 19,000 people inside the Wachovia Center. Unfortunately, a few hundred people had to be turned away.

The crowd rocked out to music from the Katinas, Kutless, and tobyMac, setting the stage for Pastor Greg Laurie to deliver a message titled “E-mail from Eternity.”

When Pastor Greg gave the gospel invitation, the floor filled almost immediately with people responding to the invitation. In all, 1,374 people prayed and registered decisions to follow Christ, whether it be first-time decisions or recommitments.

Praise God for what He did on an amazing Saturday night in Philadelphia, and pray for the final night of the crusade tonight.

Can the claims of Christianity stand up to scrutiny? Cold-case detective J. Warner Wallace applied his investigative skills to the Bible and discovered compelling evidence that led him from atheism to faith. In Cold Case Christianity, he walks through how detectives separate truth from fiction and why the Gospels pass every test. Get your copy when you give today.
