The World Changer at the End of the World, Part 1

A world changer is someone who does not accept the status quo. A world changer is someone who does not march in lockstep with current culture. Rather, a world changer wants to change the culture. They think for themselves and they do what is right. A world changer is a follower of Jesus Christ and they affect their surroundings more than their surroundings affect them. A world changer is someone who wants to make a difference.

Noah was a world changer.

Practical Principles

  1. God revealed secrets to Noah. Hebrews 11:7 says, “He was divinely warned of things not yet seen.” God spoke to him and his faith was activated.
  2. Noah had a great reverence for God. Noah was moved with godly fear. He had a wholesome dread of displeasing the Lord.
  3. Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. The word grace means God’s unmerited favor. Noah received God’s grace. He responded to it. He experienced it.

Relevant Reminders

  • Committed Christians are the true rebels in today’s culture.
  • World changers are thermostats, not thermometers. A thermometer just tells you what the temperature is. A thermostat changes the temperature. In the same way, a world changer changes the world.
  • There are many ways God speaks to us, but the primary way He speaks to us is through the Word of God.

Applicable Actions

God takes no pleasure in bringing judgment on anyone, but judgment is coming. Are we living lives like Noah in these last days? Listen to God and obey Him like Noah did. Warn others of the consequences of sin and lovingly invite them to be saved.
