Harvest America 2018

AT&T Stadium hosted the first stadium Crusade where Pastor Greg Laurie encouraged believers to carry the evangelistic torch to the next generation. 

At Arlington, Texas in June 2018, a crowd of more than 35,000 opened their ears and hearts to a message of hope from Greg Laurie. They also viewed a video tribute to the late Billy Graham.

“There will never be another Billy Graham, but we must all carry the torch of proclamation evangelism to the next generation,” Laurie said. “When Billy Graham was here at the Cotton Bowl 46 years ago, the Jesus Movement was exploding and the world was uprooted. Today, there are more mobile devices than there are people. And because of the explosion of technology, we are the first generation with the ability to fulfill the Great Commission in our lifetime.”

He continued the night talking about revival, happiness, Heaven, and the need for Jesus.

More than 2,300 individuals came forward at his invitation to make a commitment to Christ, filling the field. Each person who responded was given a New Believer’s Bible by a trained counselor who said a prayer with them.

The event was broadcast around the world via satellite and the internet, with more than 92,000 individuals viewing online.

The Crusade featured music from top Christian artists such as Phil Wickham, Chris Tomlin, David Crowder, Trip Lee, Tedashii, KB, and Switchfoot. Admission was free.

It was the second time that the Harvest Crusades partnered with Crossover, the evangelistic outreach preceding the annual meeting of the Southern Baptist Convention. Another 600 individuals made faith decisions as a result of the Crossover activities. Additionally, 380 local churches worked on the Harvest Crusade.

In total, there were more than 10,000 professions of faith. To God be the glory!
