Meet Vern and Mike. They were invited by their friend Donna to the 29th SoCal Harvest.
That might not seem like a big deal, but it is. Vern and Mike live, work, and worship in Orange County, but would have never shown up tonight unless they were invited. When I asked them why, the answer was simple: they didn’t know about it.
One might wonder, “How could they not know?” Bumper stickers are on the back of cars, posters are up in local businesses and malls, and billboards are everywhere. As much effort as is put into getting the word out by the church, Satan is just as busy trying to distract and undermine those efforts.
I challenge you to invite and bring your neighbor to the SoCal Harvest and don’t assume they’ve read the sticker on the back of your car. Don’t think to yourself, “I’ve invited them for five years and they’ve always said no.”
Matthew 9:37 says, “The harvest is plenty but the laborers are few.” Don’t let that statement be true of you! We still have Saturday and Sunday night to get involved and invite people to the SoCal Harvest.
