A Grander Plan

Debbie Ann knew she was missing something. There was a void in her heart but she wasn’t sure why. When she started dating her now husband, Bobby, she didn’t know God had a bigger plan in mind. Debbie Ann met Bobby 33 years ago. He proposed to her after only dating for six months and they were married a year later.

Bobby grew up in a Christian family but didn’t want anything to do with Christianity. However, God used Bobby’s family to introduce Debbie to Christ. They shared the gospel with her and led her in a prayer to ask Jesus into her heart after a family barbeque. Bobby still didn’t want anything to do with Christians or Christianity. But God had another plan.

God used Debbie Ann. She started going to Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa and Bobby would go with her. A few years later, they went to a Harvest event at Pacific Amphitheater and they both made a public proclamation for Jesus. Fast-forward to this weekend and now God is using them both, as they’re serving as ushers at their 27th Harvest Crusade!

God’s plan is always greater than our plan and we thank Him for Debbie Ann and Bobby’s many years of dedicated service.
