What Do You Live For?

by Greg Laurie on Apr 27, 2020

In this webcast, Pastor Greg Laurie shares a message from Philippians 1 titled “What Do You Live For?” in our Sunday Morning series at Harvest Christian Fellowship.

Sermon Notes

Did you know that happiness does not come from what we have, but from Who we know? The Christian faith is a happy faith because it’s a hopeful faith, Paul had filled his mind and his heart with Christ. So the question is what do you live for? What are you really passionate about? That is what you essentially live for and only those who are prepared to die are really ready to live.

Application

C.S. Lewis  said “The Christians who did the most for the present world were precisely those who thought most about the next.” Are you a bridge or a barrier to people coming to Jesus?

  • If you live for Christ, you will think of others.
  • When you live for Christ, you are not afraid to die.
  • When you live for Christ on Earth, you will be with Him in Heaven

Heaven is way better than Earth! It’s better because you’re moving from a tent to a mansion. It’s better because it is immediate. It’s better because in Heaven, all your questions will be answered.

Scriptures

  • 1 Corinthians 13:12
  • 2 Corinthians 5:1
  • Philippians 1:21–26
  • Philippians 1
