Celebrities are people who make news, but heroes are people who make history. Joseph shows us the way of forgiveness. If you kneel before God, you can stand before any man. We delight in the wonderful life-changing message of God’s Word that promises forgiveness, peace, purpose, fulfillment and, best of all, the hope of Heaven beyond the grave! When sharing the gospel, we need to deliver the whole message.
When we’ve been hurt, we have a choice: Rehearse what happened or release it. Forgiveness is not condoning or dismissing someone’s bad behavior. It is surrendering your right to get even. If you don’t forgive, you are choosing to love-hate. The Bible gives 75 different word pictures for forgiveness. The main word in the New Testament for forgive means, “to release.”
- Forgiven people should be forgiving people.
