In this webcast, Pastor Greg Laurie shares a message from Exodus 16 titled “The Desert Song” in our Sunday Morning series at Harvest Christian Fellowship.
Sermon Notes
Some things we only learn in a spiritual wilderness. Moses understood that God’s worst was better than the world’s best. God is bigger than your problem. Remember to give thanks to God for His faithfulness to you. God will allow trials in the life of the believer to help them to grow. Our spiritual roots grow deep when the winds around us make us strong. Trials are like God’s gym where we are broken down to be built up. You can get people out of slavery in a day, but you can’t get slavery out of people quickly.
Application
Think of all that God has done for you. It can be easy to want to blame God, but we should never accuse God of abandoning us. To complain about what you are going through is really to complain against God. God will always provide what you need when you need it. Author Alan Redpath said, “The conversion of a soul is the miracle of a moment, but the manufacture of a saint is the task of a lifetime.”
- Think of all that God has done for you.
- There is nothing wrong with bringing your needs to God.
- God has promised to provide all of your needs according to His riches in grace.
- Everything you need to know about life is found in the Bible too.
