Enoch lived in a very dark time in human history. The world before the flood pictures the world before His return. Enoch walked with God. The growth in the Christian life is not overnight. True spiritual growth will be gradual, yet very real.
“He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.”
To walk with God means I cooperate with Him. It’s not just a walk with God; it’s a talk, too. It’s about communication! Amos 3:3 is a key verse for unlocking the principles of walking with God. “Can two walk together, except they are agreed?”
- Walking with God means to get in sync with Him.
- To walk with God means you keep your appointment.
- To walk with God is to pool your resources, too.
God sets the pace; we keep rhythm with Him. God is first violinist; we are second fiddle. Our objective as last day’s believers: humbly live in communion with God.
When you live in communion with God, your desires will change; and your prayers will, too. God has been waiting for you!
