Family Portrait

by Brad Ormonde, Jr. on Sep 4, 2019

In this webcast, Pastor Brad Ormonde Jr. shares a message from Colossians 3:18–4:1 titled “Family Portrait” in our “Wednesday Evening” series at Harvest Christian Fellowship.

Sermon Notes

God has called you to complement one another, not to compete against each other. Love is not what you feel, it is what you choose to do consistently over time. Forgiveness is the heart of marriage because it is the heart of God. Being at war together will keep you from being at war with each other. Forever is the heart of marriage because it is the heart of God. Jesus said, “I do” to us, when He declared, “It is finished,” while He hung on the cross.

In Galatians 3:28 it says  “There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus.” When the gospel came on the scene, slave and master were both being saved by the gospel, and the bondage of slavery was terminated. God is communicating that He wishes to abolish all barriers between humans that put-down who they are in Christ.
