To turn from the truth is to become more thoroughly than ever entrenched in danger. Proverbs 29:1 says “He who often is reproved hardens his heart and will be cut off.” If you continue to resist His Spirit and harden your heart, there will come a point when you won’t want forgiveness.
One of the devil’s most effective tactic: Imitation. Another often-used tactic: Compromise. It is not complete denial of what we know is right and true; it’s a compromise. Small things always turn into big things. This thing that I am about to do, is it a wing or is it a weight?
- With compromise, you will always lose!
- “Never give place to the devil.”
- If you give the devil an inch, he will take a mile.
Anything that would make this world more attractive should be avoided at all costs. You don’t bring a person to Christ by sinning or making concessions. “One compromise here, another there and soon enough, the so-called Christian and the man in the world look the same.” —A.W. Tozer. Don’t harden your heart! Open your heart to Jesus today.
