Making Her Public Stance for Jesus

by Sandie Cervantes on Aug 19, 2017

LeAnn is on a mission tonight. Although she’s seen the SoCal Harvest Crusade online, this is the first time she’s attending one in person. “I’m looking forward to hearing the message and I want to recommit my life to Jesus in public. It would be amazing to walk down on that field with my son.”

LeAnn is a single mom and came to the 2017 SoCal Harvest Crusade with her 24-year-old son, Kyle. It was difficult for her to discuss in front of him how she’s struggled at times. “I spent so much time and energy focusing on my career that I was suffering in other areas of my life. I came to the point where I felt alone and depressed and I asked myself, ‘What am I doing with my life?’ I finally had an emotional breakdown, and I knew what I had to do.” So, in 2015, LeAnn surrendered her life to Jesus and was baptized. “I walked away from a 30+ year career, left it all behind, and put my faith in God to provide the right job opportunity. It was the best decision I ever made. I realized God was always there for me. All I needed to do was to reach out to Him.”

Kyle flashes a big smile on his face and says, “I will gladly walk my mother down onto the field tonight!”
